Proposed service. Availability and coverage require confirmation before a booking.
A considered plan for the piece you have chosen.
A furniture delivery is about more than the distance between two addresses. The item, its packaging, the collection arrangements and the path into the destination all shape the plan. A single large piece may need more preparation than several smaller ones.
Bring together the seller or collection contact, the item dimensions and your preferred timing. Use the guide below to identify access and handling questions before a delivery scope is agreed.
Discuss your plans
Measure the item and its path.
Record the height, width, depth and approximate weight when available. Include packaging dimensions if the item remains boxed. Check doorways, tight corners, stairs and elevator doors at both ends, not just the room where the piece will be placed.
A photograph helps explain the shape of an item. It is also useful to note whether it is assembled, whether parts can be removed and whether the seller has any collection requirements.

Connect collection with the receiving plan.
Confirm who can release the item, when it can be collected and who will be available at the destination. A retailer, private seller or storage facility may have different sign out and loading arrangements.
Discuss packaging, placement and any assembly questions before assuming they are included. Existing damage, delicate finishes, glass elements and unusually heavy pieces should be identified in the brief. A route preview does not establish that an item can safely pass through the building.

Gather what you know. Leave a note where you need guidance. A complete request helps identify questions before an estimate is prepared.

Good questions.
Useful answers.
Include the seller contact arrangements, item details and collection window in your request. Coverage, access and availability still require review.
Assembly and disassembly need to be discussed and explicitly included in the agreed scope. They should not be assumed from a transport request.
Provide the product information and dimensions you have, and say that the weight is unknown. Photographs or manufacturer specifications may help the review.
